Recently, faculty and staff from Tangier Smith Elementary School and John S. Hobart Elementary School had the opportunity to participate in a charity game against the Harlem Wizards, a world-famous basketball team. Kopa, the therapy dog, even served as an honorary referee for the game.

The Harlem Wizards returned to William Floyd to face off against the faculty and staff from Tangier Smith Elementary School and John S. Hobart Elementary School in a friendly basketball game. The night was filled with excitement as children showcased their basketball skills during a “Wiz-Kids” warm-up, while adults enjoyed comedy, contests, raffles, slam dunks, autographs and more. The event ended on a high note as the “Wiz-Kids” joined in on the Harlem Wizards’ dance party.

The evening was a huge success and everyone who attended had a great time thanks to the Harlem Wizards for coming back to William Floyd once again. Special recognition was given to the Hobart and Tangier Smith PTOs for their hard work in organizing this wonderful event.
