Don Lockerbie, a Stony Brook native and member of the organizing committee for the tournament, expressed excitement about bringing cricket to a larger audience in the United States. He believes that this can help grow the sport and is thrilled that it will be taking place in Nassau. The field constructed for the tournament will remain after the games are over, but the stadium will be dismantled.
