Holland & Knight Health Dose is a weekly newsletter that provides legislative and regulatory insights to inform stakeholders about developments in Washington, D.C. that affect the health sector. This week’s topics include the FAA Reauthorization, the House passing the Congressional Budget Office Data Sharing Act, the Senate Committee on Finance releasing a discussion draft on drug shortages, and the House Ways and Means Committee preparing to mark up legislation to extend telehealth waivers.

In addition to these topics, there will be hearings on administrative and regulatory burdens in healthcare, as well as cybersecurity threats, Medicaid and long-term services and supports, maternal mortality, and workforce diversity. Last week saw hearings on these issues as well. The Medicare and Social Security Trustees have released their annual reports, while the Departments of Health and Human Services, Labor, and Treasury have released cost-sharing FAQs.

HHS has also released draft guidance for the second cycle of the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program, while the FDA has released the Laboratory Developed Test Final Rule. The DACA health coverage rule has been finalized. MACPAC appointments are also in the news this week.
