Science is an invisible force that impacts every aspect of our daily routines, from the artificial intelligence in our phones to the agricultural innovations that shape our breakfast choices. Its importance extends beyond these individual contributions and plays a crucial role in solving global challenges. The first part of the Dialogue will focus on the groundbreaking research conducted by the 2024 Laureates in biological sciences, clinical health, environmental fields. They will also discuss how their work contributes to addressing critical issues we are facing today.

The UNESCO Call to Action: Closing the Gender Gap in Science was launched on the occasion of the 2024 International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This initiative highlights the urgent need for multistakeholder collaborative actions at various levels to address gender disparities in science. It emphasizes that these disparities not only hinder women’s advancement but also impede scientific progress and societal development as a whole. The second part of this Dialogue will involve the 2024 Laureates sharing their insights and discussing how to advance this Call to Action towards equality in science for all genders.
