U.S. Representative Dan Newhouse has released a statement regarding the bill that directs the Department of the Interior to remove Endangered Species Act protections for the gray wolf. Newhouse stated that while the gray wolf population has recovered by all metrics, private landowners continue to be targeted by administration policies that use the ESA against them. The bill will now move to the Senate for consideration.
