On Thursday, the Helsinki Stock Exchange opened its doors and after some trading, the general index was up 0.2 percent at 9808.57 points. Despite this positive performance, Faron Pharmaceuticals saw a decrease of 2.8 percent in its share price at 1.64 euros. The company recently completed a directed offering of 4.8 million euros and is anticipating needing an additional 27 million euros for phase 2 of the Bexmab study.

Among the most traded stocks on the exchange, Sotkamo Silver saw a significant increase of 6.0 percent, while Reka Industrial was up by 3.5 percent. However, Aktia Bank experienced a decrease of 8.3 percent following the release of a dividend payment of EUR 0.70 per share to its shareholders. Other companies like Constilta, Ostrobothnia Arvo Investment Cooperative, and Siili Solutions also released dividends to their investors during this period.

In terms of recommendations from analysts, Inderes raised Homecoming to an increase level while OP raised Wärtsilä’s target price and recommendation level based on their positive outlook for these companies.

The Helsinki Stock Exchange has seen less trading activity compared to March last year due to uncertainty about the Fed’s future moves after President Jerome Powell’s speech on interest rate policy earlier in the month.
