Microsoft has recently introduced a major update to the user interface of Xbox Cloud Gaming, which enables gamers to access cloud-based Xbox titles through their web browser. The platform’s new social features are inspired by the Xbox dashboard, and one of its key features is the inclusion of a web-based version of Xbox party chat, allowing users to engage in conversations with friends directly from their browser without needing dedicated Xbox desktop or mobile applications.

Apart from party chat, the updated interface also includes tools for finding and managing friends on Xbox, sending messages, viewing user profiles and achievements, and receiving notifications. These features are currently being tested in beta with the Xbox Insiders group before being rolled out to all Xbox Cloud Gaming users in the near future.

The updated interface is designed to be compatible with smart TVs and Meta Quest VR headsets, making it more accessible and user-friendly for a broader range of players. The interface already mirrors the Home screen UI of Xbox consoles but now includes additional functions aimed at enhancing the overall gaming experience, many of which were previously only available by launching a cloud game on an Xbox console.

Microsoft has also launched new gaming hubs in its Xbox app for Windows 10, allowing PC gamers to track game progress, access extra content, and connect directly with developers within the app. In addition to this update for PC gamers, Microsoft has introduced several new features to its April update for Xbox consoles as well. These include options for turning off Discord soundboard sounds on consoles, receiving notifications for game capture storage on OneDrive, and restricting game or app installations on the console.

Overall, these updates reflect Microsoft’s commitment to improving both its cloud-based gaming services and its console gaming experiences. With these enhancements in place
