Celebrating the Italian Gaming Industry: First Playable Returns to Florence in 2024

The Italian gaming industry will be celebrated at the upcoming First Playable event, taking place in Florence from July 3 to 5, 2024. Organized by IIDEA and the Toscana Film Commission in collaboration with ICE Agency and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this event aims to promote growth within the industry. With more than 500 professionals and over 1,000 business meetings in attendance last year, further networking and opportunities are expected for attendees.

As part of First Playable, a highlight will be the Italian Video Game Awards (IVGA) on July 4th at La Compagnia cinema in Florence. Promoted by IIDEA, this event celebrates achievements in the Italian gaming industry and rewards outstanding games and professionals from 2023. To apply for these awards, individuals must submit their nominations by April 19th. Categories include Best Italian Game, Best Debut, Outstanding Art, Immersive Experience, Individual Contribution, and Outstanding Italian Company. A jury will select finalists and winners for each category.

Interested parties can purchase “Full Access” or “Social Access” tickets on Eventbrite to attend First Playable 2024. Full Access grants access to all major events including the IVGA ceremony while Social Access grants access to some events only. This event focuses on promoting growth within the industry while providing networking opportunities for professionals in gaming.
