X, a popular social media platform, has recently announced an update to its account blocking policy. This new feature will allow users to view responses from accounts they have previously blocked on the platform.

Previously, when a user blocked another account, the blocked account could still respond to the user’s posts, but the user who initiated the block could not see these responses. However, with this change, users will now be able to view responses from accounts they have previously blocked.

The aim of this change is to give users more control over their experience while maintaining public visibility of posts. According to X’s Engineering team, the primary goal is to empower users by allowing them to identify and report any incorrect content that they may have missed before.

Elon Musk, owner of X, had previously expressed his opposition to the blocking feature and stated that he was considering removing it altogether except for direct messages. Despite being required by application stores like Google Play and Apple Store, Musk argued that the feature did not make sense and did not align with X’s mission of promoting free speech and open communication on the platform.

Overall, X’s new account blocking policy change aims to provide users with more control over their interactions with other accounts on the platform while maintaining transparency and public accessibility of posts.
