In honor of National Doctors’ Day, UVA Health has donated $10,000 to the Free Clinic of Culpeper. The clinic, part of the nonprofit Culpeper Wellness Foundation, offers essential healthcare services to uninsured individuals and those unable to afford medical care. Physicians are among the dedicated staff that provides medical treatment and collaborates with local partners to provide patients with access to other critical services such as counseling, transportation assistance, literacy training, employment support, and nutrition counseling.

The Free Clinic of Culpeper is located on the UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center campus and benefits from UVA Health’s collaboration, which includes providing lab work, imaging services, and specialty care to patients in need. Tammy LaGraffe, Director of the Free Clinic of Culpeper, expressed deep appreciation for UVA Health’s ongoing support of the clinic and its patients. She stated that the donation is a testament to UVA Health’s commitment to the clinic’s mission and their role as steadfast partners in the health and well-being of Culpeper. Donna Staton, Chief Operating Officer of UVA Community Health and Chief Operating Officer of UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center, expressed gratitude for the dedication of the doctors, stating that the donation symbolizes the organization’s appreciation for their hard work.
