Tee Off for Mental Health: Newport Mental Health’s Annual Golf Tournament Returns with Exciting Changes and a Focus on Community Support

Newport Mental Health is excited to announce the return of its annual Golf Tournament, “Drive for Mental Health,” which will be held on June 17, 2024 at The Aquidneck Club in Portsmouth. The event offers an opportunity to play on the private links-style championship course designed by Donald Steel and enjoy the breathtaking views of upper Narragansett Bay.

Horan Building Company is returning as the presenting sponsor of the tournament and inviting local businesses and golf enthusiasts to come together in support of Newport Mental Health. The President & CEO of Newport Mental Health, Dayna Gladstein, expressed excitement for the event, emphasizing the importance of supporting mental health services for the Newport County community.

Last year’s winning team achieved an impressive score of 56 in a best-ball format, setting high expectations for this year’s competition. After a day of golf and a cocktail hour, participants will enjoy a top-tier dining experience in the waterfront clubhouse, as well as participate in an auction led by professional auctioneer Lucas Hunt.
