On Sunday, Ethan Crist’s home and garage on River Road outside Jersey Shore were destroyed by a devastating fire. However, fortunately for him, his landscaping business, Cutting Edge, was able to resume operations promptly on Monday. The fire burned for 90 minutes before being brought under control by volunteer firefighters who spent an additional three hours extinguishing hot spots to prevent any chance of rekindling.

Crist’s quick thinking and preparedness allowed him to continue serving his clients without delay. He had kept essential equipment such as his zero-turn lawn mowers in a separate barn down the road, which allowed him to quickly get back to work after the fire. Encouraged by his insurance agent, Crist wasted no time in getting back to work and cutting grass on Monday morning as usual.

The support of his family and neighbors during such a challenging time was greatly appreciated by Crist, who narrowly escaped the fire as he was working on equipment at a nearby property when it broke out. Despite the extensive damage caused by the fire that destroyed most of the trucks stored in the garage, Crist’s primary concern was ensuring that his loved ones were safe and that his business could continue operating smoothly.

An investigation by a state police fire marshal is underway to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Despite the devastation caused by the tragedy, Crist remained optimistic about the future of his business and grateful for the outpouring of support from the community.
