In 2023, Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a stroke and underwent surgery. After being released from the ICU, he continued his recovery at home, facing some health challenges along the way. Despite these challenges, Lawler’s positive outlook and commitment to his recovery have led to significant progress in his health.

In August, Lawler made an untelevised appearance at WWE RAW in Memphis. By October, he was still in rehab and undergoing speech therapy. However, by then, Lawler had already provided an update on his health during a virtual signing for East Coast Autograph Auctions. He mentioned that while he had some minor difficulties from the stroke, his overall health is great and things are progressing quickly.

In November, Lawler made a pre-taped appearance on NXT TV as part of the Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifiers. His updates on his recovery serve as an inspiration to many and highlight the importance of staying positive and focused during tough times. Overall, Lawler’s determination and resilience are evident in his continued efforts to improve and get back to full health.
