The Sierra Vista Middle School students have secured the title of Southern California Science Olympiad Champions for the third consecutive year in the state Science Olympiad Championship Tournament held at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. The tournament, which took place in April, attracted student teams from all over the state to compete in various science, technology, and engineering events.

In the high school division of the tournament, Northwood and University high schools claimed second and third place, respectively. However, it was the Sierra Vista team that emerged victorious once again. Composed of 19 talented students, their impressive win means that they will now move on to compete in the Science Olympiad National Tournament at Michigan State University later this month.
