Chea, an 8-year-old child from Cambodia, has been experiencing tonsillitis and adenoiditis about 15 times a year for the past year. This has resulted in complications such as respiratory infections and otitis media. Ms. Li Sek, the child’s mother, brought her to Ho Chi Minh City for treatment.
At the Ear, Nose and Throat Center in Tam Anh General Hospital, Chea’s endoscopy results revealed red and swollen tonsils with a layer of yellow fluid in her throat.
