Aurora, Illinois recently unveiled its new “goddess” logo for the Aurora Downtown district. The design was a tribute to the Roman goddess of dawn, also known as Aurora.
The logo was presented during Mayor Irvin’s State of the City address. Five local business owners were chosen to walk a gold runway and pose in a recreation of the logo. The mayor praised the logo, stating that it reflected the city’s history and pointed towards its future. He called it stunning, vibrant, and beautiful, and a true representation of the community as a whole.
Following the unveiling, the CBS Chicago team reported on the event during their coverage of the mayor’s address.
