The Seahawks have signed free agent guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN. The addition of Tomlinson is expected to help bolster the team’s offensive line, as they had openings at both guard spots.

Tomlinson has primarily played at left guard throughout his career, with 99 percent of his snaps at that position. He has been durable, having missed only one game in nine seasons. The Seahawks are excited about his experience and skill, and look forward to him joining their team for the upcoming season.

Despite his journey through different teams, Tomlinson’s talent has been recognized with a Pro Bowl selection in 2021. He was recently cut by the Jets with one year remaining on a three-year, $40 million deal he signed after leaving the 49ers. However, the Seahawks see him as a valuable addition to their roster and believe he will help them achieve success in the upcoming season.
