The National Beard and Mustache Championships in Florida made history this year by breaking three Guinness World Records. The event, organized by Beard Team USA and held annually in a different location each year, took place on the Main Street Pier in Daytona Beach.

The first record attempted was for the longest partial beard chain, which involved 86 participants standing side by side. Their facial hair was clipped together to create a chain measuring a staggering 195 feet and 3 inches. This broke the previous record of 150 feet set at the previous year’s championships.

Next up was the record for the longest mustache chain, which was achieved by 27 participants forming a chain measuring 20 feet and 4 inches. Finally, the participants with full beard styles came together to create a chain measuring 42 feet and 8 inches, setting the record for the longest full beard chain.

Creative director for Beard Team USA, Bryan Nelson, expressed his excitement at the success of the record attempts, highlighting the unique and wacky nature of creating beard chains. He also emphasized the rigorous process of measuring, documenting, and certifying the records with Guinness World Records.
