Dr. Darr Leutz, a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Blessing Health, is excited to showcase the latest knee replacement technology at a free public open house on Wednesday, April 24. The event will take place at the Blessing Health Center located at 4800 Maine.

Two sessions will be available for attendees to choose from: between 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. During the open house, Dr. Leutz will demonstrate the Velys robotic-assisted solution for total knee replacement. This technology provides a high level of digital precision in the operating room, allowing for a real-time, personalized approach to each patient’s care based on their unique anatomy.

Key features of Velys include optical trackers that communicate with a high-speed camera to provide real-time data during the surgery, as well as a robot-assisted device that enables Dr. Leutz to remove damaged bone with exceptional accuracy. The results delivered by Velys have excited Dr. Leutz and he expressed his confidence in the technology, stating that he won’t perform a total knee replacement without it
