AstroPay has recently introduced the Mastercard AstroPay GOAT Card, a prepaid card supported by Pomelo’s technology. This new addition to AstroPay’s range of payment solutions is available in both physical and virtual forms and offers users the convenience of quick registration, various payment methods for loading funds, and the ability to use the card for daily purchases and online services.
The development and launch of the Mastercard AstroPay GOAT Card in Argentina was completed with remarkable speed, with the first payment processed just 21 days after the project began. This rapid process showcases the flexibility and efficiency of Pomelo’s infrastructure, which supports card issuance and payment processing. This includes BIN sponsorship and KYC processes through API verification, allowing the card to be used at physical points of sale, integrated into apps for QR code payments, and added to virtual wallet services like Google Wallet.
