Rensselaer Engineering Ambassadors from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) recently visited Ballston Spa Middle School to engage with science classes and lead various STEM activities. The ambassadors presented on engineering topics relevant to the students’ studies, followed by demonstrations or hands-on design activities. Topics included roller coasters, oil spills, sea level, and biomimicry.

The collaboration between the middle school and RPI provided students with a unique opportunity to explore real-world applications of STEM concepts in a hands-on and interactive way. By connecting their classroom learning to practical engineering activities, the students were able to deepen their understanding of STEM disciplines and gain valuable insights into potential career paths in these fields.

The visit from the Rensselaer Engineering Ambassadors was a valuable and enriching experience for the students at Ballston Spa Middle School.
