Phu Tho Tourism reported a significant improvement in its financial performance in the first three months of the year. The company’s revenue reached nearly 65 billion VND, up 16% from the same period last year, and it made a profit of more than 5.5 billion VND after tax, a positive turnaround from the previous year.

The increase in revenue was due to several factors, including receiving dividends from its subsidiary, Dam Sen Water Park Joint Stock Company. Despite a slow increase in cost prices, the company managed to achieve a gross profit of more than 20 billion VND, which is 38% higher than the previous year.

Financial revenue increased by 35% due to these dividends and reduced sales and business management expenses. However, cost prices exceeded revenue by more than 14 billion VND, resulting in a net loss of nearly 8.7 billion VND for the quarter.

Despite this challenge, Phu Tho Tourism remains optimistic about its prospects for the year ahead. The company has set ambitious revenue and profit targets for itself, focusing on developing culinary businesses and enhancing the attraction of Dam Sen Cultural Park. The board of directors plans to revamp Dam Sen Cultural Park to attract more customers and increase revenue by expanding and renovating key attractions.
