Bergdorf Goodman’s Fifth Avenue location in Manhattan will be the first physical retail location for Phoebe Philo’s eponymous label starting on April 11. The collection, which includes over 100 pieces from the first and second collections, will be sold exclusively in-store at Bergdorf’s. A second delivery is set to follow in May.

Until now, Philo’s line has only been available online through a buzzy drop model. However, at Bergdorf, the collection will be showcased in their iconic windows and on the fourth floor of their flagship store. Yumi Shin, the chief merchandising officer at Bergdorf Goodman, expressed excitement about the collaboration, calling Philo one of the most powerful design visionaries in fashion history.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Philo mentioned her plans to open a physical space but before that she is opting for the wholesale route by partnering with Bergdorf’s. This strategic decision allows her to leverage the prestige of an iconic department store like Bergdorf Goodman before potentially transitioning to independent brick-and-mortar venues.
