Over the weekend, North Texas voters approved millions of dollars in school bond proposals in municipal elections. Despite requests for larger items like sports stadiums, bonds that focused on safety and technology upgrades were more successful. In Anna ISD, a $100 million proposal for a new stadium was rejected by 57% of voters, marking the second time it was turned down. Similarly, in Argyle, two out of three proposals failed, including funding for a baseball-softball complex and new schools, gym, cafeteria, and land for future construction.

In Granbury ISD, 82% of voters rejected a proposal for $161.5 million for new schools and improvements. Mansfield ISD had the most expensive list of proposals totaling $777 million, with two proposals approved for upgrades and technology improvements, while three proposals were rejected for stadium and orchestra hall renovations.
