Dr. George Brown has been appointed as the new CEO of Legacy Health, following the retirement of Kathryn Correia, who served in the role since June 2018. This change in leadership comes as Legacy moves towards a merger with Oregon Health & Science University. In a statement, Legacy announced that Anna Loomis, their chief financial officer, is also leaving her position.

Charles Wilhoite, chair of Legacy’s board of directors, praised Anna’s critical role in steering the hospital system towards financial strength and achieving their objectives despite economic challenges. In an email to staff, Wilhoite thanked Anna for her service and wished her well on her future endeavors.

Kathryn Correia will continue in an advisory role until June when she officially retires due to health reasons following an injury sustained in a fall last November. She acknowledged that the accumulated stress of the past four years had impacted her resiliency, leading to a longer recovery period than expected. This realization prompted her decision to retire and focus on her well-being.
