The beloved children’s book Ballet Shoes is being adapted for the stage at London’s National Theatre this fall. Written by Kendall Feaver and directed by Katy Rudd, the show promises to bring the classic story to life in a new and exciting way.

The production will follow three adopted sisters – Pauline, Petrova, and Posy – as they navigate life in a crumbling house full of dinosaur bones and fossils. With the help of their guardians Sylvia, Nana, and some unexpected lodgers, the sisters embark on a journey to discover their identities and pursue their individual passions.

Feaver has brought together an exceptional creative team to bring this story to life on stage. Set design is by Frankie Bradshaw, costume design by Samuel Wyer, choreography by Ellen Kane, composition by Asaf Zohar, lighting design by Paule Constable, sound design by Ian Dickinson, and casting by Bryony Jarvis-Taylor.

Rufus Norris, director of the National Theatre expressed his excitement for audiences to experience this classic story in a new and ambitious theatrical production. Tickets for Ballet Shoes will be available to the general public starting on May 2. For more information and to purchase tickets visit the National Theatre’s website at NationalTheatre.org.uk.
