In Miami, real estate mogul Patrick Carroll recently made headlines after being involved in an incident that led to his psychiatric evaluation. Reports indicate that police ordered the evaluation after he fired a shotgun outside his waterfront mansion in the city. Over the years, Carroll has gained a reputation for his outlandish behavior.
The incident began when authorities were alerted to gunshots coming from Carroll’s backyard. In addition to this, Carroll had posted a video on Instagram showing himself wearing a red MAGA hat while firing a shotgun on a boat. Despite his claims that he was not using live rounds in the video, it sparked controversy and concern among neighbors and law enforcement officials.
As a result of the incident, the Miami Beach Police Department took Carroll to a local healthcare facility for a mental-health check. A “risk-protection order” was also served. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to Christopher Bass, a spokesman for the police department.
Carroll recently moved to Miami and purchased a $16.3 million property in February 2022. The mansion boasts seven bedrooms, 6 ½ bathrooms, a 90-foot infinity pool, and a boat dock. Despite his controversial past incidents including allegedly spitting in the face of a restaurant manager and getting into a physical altercation with a biotech billionaire at a party in Italy, Carroll continues to attract attention with his outlandish behavior and actions.
