Taste Atlas, a renowned food guide, has recently showcased the diversity and richness of Indian cuisine in various categories. In their latest rankings for April 2024, an impressive nine Indian dishes have been featured on the list of the ‘Best Stews in the World’. This is a significant milestone for India, as it holds the highest number of entries from a single country on this list.

Taste Atlas has broadened their category of stews beyond traditional interpretations of the word. Among the Indian dishes featured in this ranking, keema, made from minced meat, secured the 6th position. Other popular Indian stews like Chingri malai curry, korma, Vindaloo, Dal Tadka, Saag Paneer, Shahi Paneer, Misal and Indian dal also made it onto the list. These dishes come from different parts of India and reflect the diverse culinary traditions of each region.

The top spot on the list of Best Stews in the World went to Thai Phanaeng curry. This ranking highlights not only India’s place on this list but also showcases how global stew-based dishes are gaining popularity around the world. The unique flavors and ingredients used in different cuisines are being recognized globally for their distinctiveness and appeal to audiences worldwide.
