The Indian men’s 4x400m relay team, consisting of Amoj Jacob, Arokia Rajiv, Muhammad Anas Yahiya, and Muhammad Ajmal, seized their second chance and ran an impressive season’s best time of 3:03.23 to secure a spot in the event.

In the women’s 4x400m relay race, Rupal replaced Vithya Ramraj and clocked a time of 3:29.35 with MR Poovamma, Jyothika Sri Dandi, and Subha Venkatesan to finish behind Jamaica in their heat and earn a quota for India.

Despite not starting in the second heat of the mixed relay qualifying round, India still has a chance to qualify a team for the event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Two quotas will be distributed based on the top list during the qualification period between December 31, 2022, and June 30, 2024.
