Scotland has announced its provisional squad for the Men’s T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA. The squad includes Michael Jones and Brad Wheal, who were not part of the squad for the T20 Tri-Series against Netherlands and Ireland. Gavin Main, who was in the Tri-Series pool, did not make the T20 World Cup selection.

Head coach Doug Watson stated that it was a challenging selection process to narrow down the squad to just 15 players, but they feel confident in the balance they have achieved. The squad is largely the same as the one that competed in the Tri-Series, with the addition of Jones and Wheal bringing valuable experience from previous T20 World Cups. Most of the players in the squad have been together for some time and performed well in previous qualifiers.

Scotland will face England, Namibia, Oman, and Australia in Group B, with their first game against England on 4th June. The team is focused on staying in the present moment and not getting ahead of themselves.
