Gimma Flores, a former office manager at Nevco Air Conditioning and Sheet Metal in Las Vegas, has been charged with forgery and theft after allegedly stealing nearly $500,000 from her employer. The 8 News Now Investigators obtained documents that show Flores cashed over 600 unauthorized checks between 2017 and 2022.

In October 2022, the business owner received an alert from their bank about a suspicious $1,000 transaction for petty cash. After further investigation, they discovered hundreds of similar unauthorized checks that had been cashed by Flores. When confronted by her boss in the office on October 26, 2022, Flores reportedly ran out of the door and was never seen again.

Metro police later learned that Flores had moved out of state, but she was arrested nearly 18 months after the initial police report was filed. Judge Amy Chelini released Flores on her own recognizance and scheduled her to return to court in April. For the latest news, weather, sports, and streaming video visit KLAS for more information.
