In the latest episode of the World Athletics Inside Track Podcast, Sanya Richards-Ross, Richard Kilty, and Kelly Sotherton are in The Bahamas for the World Athletics Relays Bahamas 24. They preview an exciting weekend of competition along with World Athletics President Sebastian Coe and CEO Jon Ridgeon.

The highlight of the conversation was Ridgeon’s announcement of testing the viability of a mixed 4x100m event. He mentioned that mixed athletics could be the future of the sport and they plan to experiment with the concept in the upcoming events. Richards-Ross and Sotherton were excited about the possibility and even volunteered to be a part of the testing phase.

Kilty, part of Great Britain’s men’s 4x100m squad in Nassau, joined Sotherton and Richards-Ross in making predictions for the upcoming events. They also provided clarification on the qualification process for relay teams for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
