Ubisoft and Lucasfilm Games have announced the upcoming release of Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world video game set in the Star Wars saga. The first game of its kind, Star Wars Outlaws will be available to players on August 30 and will allow them to embark on adventures with the clever hustler Kay Vess.

The game was unveiled at the Xbox Game Showcase event in June 2023, showcasing a storyline that takes place between the films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Players will take on the role of Kay Vess and explore unique planets throughout the galaxy, immersing themselves in the Star Wars universe like never before.

Star Wars Outlaws will be available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Amazon Luna, and Windows PC via Ubisoft Connect. Players will follow Kay Vess as he partners with Nix to gather resources and crew members for their ultimate mission.

As the trailer reveals, players can expect to encounter legendary characters and criminal organizations from the Star Wars galaxy, including appearances from Jabba the Hutt. They will explore new and iconic locations such as Canto Bight, Kijimi, Tatooine, and Akiva, piloting their ship and engaging in aerial combat against the Empire.

Those who subscribe to Ubisoft+ or purchase the Gold or Ultimate editions of the game will have early access, while pre-orders of the game will receive the ‘Kessel Runner Bonus Pack’ with cosmetic items for Kay’s speeder and ship.
