The Music Business Student Union at Elmhurst University is set to host a “Spring Playback” concert on Saturday, April 27, featuring bands with alumni and current students. The event will showcase three opening acts and a headlining band, all of whom are members of the Elmhurst U. community.

The lineup for the concert includes “Polly on The Wall,” a Chicago band, at 4:00 p.m., “Holden Meier and The Boys,” an Elmhurst U. student-led band, at 5:00 p.m., “One Night Only,” an alumni band, at 6:00 p.m., and the alumni band “Arrowleaf” as the headliner at 7:30 p.m.

The Music Business Student Union has organized every aspect of the concert, from technical details like lights and sound to vendor relations, merchandise design, set list creation, and event promotion through social media and fundraisers. Their goal is to promote music business education at Elmhurst U., raise funds for music business scholarships, and enhance and expand the program.

Participating in the concert allows music and music business students to gain hands-on experience applying their skills and knowledge, providing a professional advantage as they prepare for their careers. They will practice preparing for auditions and live performances, managing artist relations, handling technical production needs, event planning, selling merchandise and tickets concessions.

The Music Business Student Union also organizes various other events throughout the year including concerts
