Two businesses on Wealthy Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan have been broken into within a week, leaving local businesses feeling frustrated and disappointed. Firstly, Wealthy Street Bakery was targeted by masked robbers who tried to break into the front door but eventually smashed a side window after being unsuccessful. Despite their efforts, they left empty-handed as there was no cash left out overnight.

Following this incident, Good Judys Market and Juice Bar located near Wealthy Street Bakery was also broken into. A large piece of asphalt was thrown through their glass door, prompting the business to close for the remainder of the day while the investigation was ongoing. It is still unclear at this time if anything was taken from Good Judys.

Both businesses expressed frustration at the break-ins with the Operations Manager of Wealthy Street Bakery highlighting that small businesses like theirs do not keep large amounts of cash on hand. The Grand Rapids Police Department is currently investigating both incidents and has not determined if they are connected. Residents and businesses in the area are being vigilant and taking precautions to prevent further break-ins.
