President Joe Biden’s campaign finance chairman, Rufus Gifford, expressed his optimism that his boss is president, stating that “no one” has the same level of respect on the global stage as Biden does. Gifford made these comments when discussing the recruitment of voters, particularly regarding international events like the war in Gaza and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The war in Gaza has caused division among voters in the United States.

Gifford mentioned that the Biden campaign raised $90 million in donations last month and has $192 million in cash on hand for the second quarter. He believes that this high amount of fundraising demonstrates the strengths of the Democratic Party. Gifford emphasized that campaign funds are being used to reach out to voters and not for legal battles, alluding to the legal issues faced by Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Gifford acknowledged that the upcoming election will be closely contested until Election Day, emphasizing the importance of fundraising and voter outreach efforts. Meanwhile, Trump raised over $50 million at an event in Palm Beach, Florida, with attendees including prominent figures like John Paulson, Robert Mercer, and Harold Hamm, as well as Republican leaders like Vivek Ramaswamy, Sen. Tim Scott
