The Australian cricket team is set to defend their title at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in Bangladesh from October 3 to 20. As the reigning champions, Australia will compete in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and a qualifier team. Meanwhile, Group B will consist of Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and another qualifier team. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
To determine the two qualifying teams for the tournament, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi, UAE will take place from May 1 to May 7. Australia will kick off their title defense against one of the qualifiers in their group on October 4. All of their group matches are scheduled to be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
