The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is set to be a thrilling event, featuring the top 10 women’s cricket teams from around the world competing for the title. The qualifiers for the tournament will emerge from the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with the top two teams making the final on May 7 securing the last two spots in the main event.
Group A matches will take place at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet, while Group B matches will be held at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. The tournament kicks off with last edition’s runners-up South Africa facing England in the opening match on October 3, with India beginning their campaign against New Zealand the following day and facing Australia on October 13.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for May 17 and 18, with India reaching out to win their first title after being defeated by hosts Australia in both previous editions of Women’s T20 World Cup.
