Kentucky-based Athena Hospitality Group has announced plans to build a new hotel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The proposed development will be located on Summa Avenue in the Baton Rouge Health District and will feature a Hampton Inn and Suites that stands four stories tall and encompasses 105 rooms on a 3-acre plot of land.

The project is currently awaiting approval from the Planning Commission, with a decision expected to be made at their upcoming May meeting. Athena Hospitality Group, headquartered in Florence, Kentucky, already operates 15 properties throughout the country, including a hotel in Gonzales and one that is currently under construction in the same area. They also have plans for a new four-story Woodspring Suites Hotel at Howell Place that will also be considered by the Planning Commission at their upcoming meeting in April.

With a reputation for quality hotels across the nation, Athena Hospitality Group is making waves in the Baton Rouge area with their proposed developments that will cater to the growing demand for accommodations in the region. As they continue to expand their portfolio, local residents and visitors alike can look forward to new and modern lodging options in the Baton Rouge Health District.
