The University of Houston has made a bold move to go against the NFL and the Tennessee Titans by reverting to using an alternate Columbia Blue color scheme. Despite being discouraged to do so last year, the school has decided to proceed with the alternate color scheme after carefully reviewing all aspects of the situation.

The university has notified the NFL of their intention to use the alternate color scheme, but as of now, there has been no response from the league. However, Pezman mentioned that they are giving the NFL a few weeks to respond before moving forward with their plans. The university believes that they have a solid reasoning behind their decision and are prepared to defend their position.

According to Pezman, there is evidence showing that the city uses the alternate color scheme, making their decision justifiable. The university’s close proximity to the Texans, who recently introduced a uniform with a similar color, also supports their case. It is unlikely that anyone would have intellectual property rights over a color, and it would not reflect well on the NFL if they were to take legal action against the University of Houston over this matter.
