Two years ago, the Eagles signed a new contract with receiver A.J. Brown, and now we find ourselves analyzing another extension. This time, it’s a three-year extension that adds three more years to the remaining three on his existing contract. The full details of the extension have been provided by a source familiar with the terms, including a signing bonus of $19.875 million.

The contract outlines specifics for base salaries, option bonuses, and offseason workout bonuses spanning from 2024 to 2029. Notably, the deal guarantees $51 million at signing, with an additional $29 million becoming fully guaranteed in March 2025, and the final $4 million secured in March 2026. As a result, there is a practical guarantee of $80 million, ensuring that Brown remains with the Eagles for the foreseeable future.

With this extension, Brown becomes the highest-paid receiver in terms of new-money average, earning $32 million per year. The contract also guarantees him a minimum career earnings of $124 million, cementing his financial security. His prior earnings were set at $21 million for this year (fully guaranteed), $16 million in 2025, and $31 million in 2026. Notably, the new deal removes all per-game roster bonuses that were previously included in his contract.

In total, the six-year, $164 million deal sets a new standard for receiver contracts in terms of value at signing ($27.33 million per year), making it the highest total value at signing for any receiver in the NFL
