Main Street Kent is collaborating with local business owners to organize engaging and educational events that explore the science behind their businesses and other interesting topics. The “Science of” program is back with an eclipse theme in April. On Wednesday, April 3 at 6 p.m., join us at North Water Brewing, located at 101 E. Craine Ave, for “The Science of Total Solar Eclipse Photography.”

Jerry L. Jividen, a seasoned photo instructor, will be sharing his expertise on capturing stunning images of the total solar eclipse. He will showcase his own eclipse photographs and provide valuable tips on photographing the eclipse safely and effectively. Discover how to use the unique light of the eclipse to create captivating compositions beyond just images of the sun and moon. After the talk, there will be a question and answer session for attendees.

Jerry is well-known for his dramatic photograph of the Kent Mill fire, which was featured on the cover of Firehouse magazine. To learn more about his work and photography groups, visit his Meetup page at https://www.meetup.com/ne-ohio-digital-photography-meetup-club/.
