Jim Jordan, a Republican Congressman from Ohio, played a crucial role in the struggle between Elon Musk and Alexandre de Moraes, the most powerful man in Brazil. Despite being little known outside the US, Jordan’s position on the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives made him an important figure in this conflict.

Jordan is a staunch conservative who has been known to collaborate with fellow Democrats. However, he has also been described as uncompromising and overly aggressive by his opponents. Perhaps his past in wrestling has influenced his approach to politics. In high school, Jordan was a four-time state wrestling champion and achieved an astonishing 150 wins in 151 fights. As an undergraduate studying Economics at the University of Wisconsin, he won two national titles and was later inducted into the wrestling Hall of Fame. He then switched from sport to politics and graduated in Law before completing a Masters in Education.

Jordan has never lost an election since first being elected as state representative for Ohio in 1994. His conservative views have earned him high ratings from conservative think tanks such as the Heritage Foundation, where he ranks 94 out of 100 points. In contrast, left-wing environmental group “League of Conservation Voters” gave him only 3 out of 100 points on their scale.

It was through his role on the Judiciary Committee that Jordan became involved in the conflict between Musk and Moraes. As chairman of this committee, Jordan received a formal request from Musk’s company for all decisions made by Moraes that led to content removal or user blocking on Twitter. Since X is subject to American regulations, it had to respond to Congressional requests. With this information in hand, Jordan produced a report released this Wednesday by the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives that included 88 letters sent by Moraes via TSE and STF courts demanding content removal or blocking users on Twitter without providing justification for these actions.

The report exposes how Moraes’ censorship campaign targeted “hate speech” and “subversion” under the guise of combating these activities but ultimately infringed upon free speech rights guaranteed by Brazilian law and international conventions like UNESCO’s Declaration on Freedom of Expression (DFE). The STF press office responded after publication that all its decisions are based on legal grounds but did not address any concerns raised about transparency or due process violations raised in Jordan’s report.

Despite being born outside Brazil, Jim Jordan’s involvement highlights how global events can impact local issues when they have significant political implications for other countries – even those not traditionally considered partisan battlegrounds like Brazil may become embroiled when powerful figures like Elon Musk wield influence over them through their business interests abroad.

In conclusion, Jim Jordan played an instrumental role in exposing Elon Musk’s censorship efforts against Alex de Moraes through his position as chairman of the Judiciary Committee
