Lexington, KY – The Be Healthy Bash is coming to town on June 8 at the Fayette County Extension Office. Hosted by UK HealthCare and supported by several organizations, this event aims to promote overall well-being in the community through nutrition, fitness, and emotional wellness.
The Be Healthy Bash will run from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and will offer attendees a wide range of activities to choose from. Visitors can participate in health screenings, access health and wellness resources, enjoy free food and taste testing, join emotional wellness activities, engage in physical activities and games, inflatables for both kids and adults, petting zoo, safety education at Safety City, smoothie bike ride, meet and greet with UK’s Wally Cat, live music and more.
Originally envisioned by the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center to provide access to healthy foods and promote eating well and being active, the event has now expanded to include various health and wellness services beyond its original vision. The goal is to help individuals achieve a healthy lifestyle regardless of their background.
Presented by UK HealthCare and University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service with support from organizations such as UK Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center, UK HealthCare’s Healthy Kentucky Initiative, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government among others; this event highlights the efforts of the University of Kentucky in promoting healthy living while giving back to the community to create a healthier Kentucky.
