In the Ann Arbor area, children aged 11-13 can enroll in the free Nutrition Buddies program at Trinity Health Ann Arbor. The program pairs participants with medical resident physician buddies for four weeks of hands-on culinary classes that focus on cooking and nutrition. Through this program, children will gain confidence in preparing healthy foods and receive a weekly produce box and cooking kit from The Farm at Trinity Health.

Interested parents can sign their children up for two different sessions: one in May and one in July. Those who participate in the July session will also have the opportunity to attend one week of free farm camp in August. The in-person classes will take place at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Women’s Health Center on Elliott Dr. in Ypsilanti from 5:30-7 p.m.

Registration is now open for both sessions, and parents can sign up online. The May session will run from May 2 to May 30, while the July session will take place from July 11 to August 8 (with Farm Camp from August 12 to 16).
