To ensure that food remains fresh and safe to eat, it is recommended to set the freezer temperature at -18 degrees Celsius or lower. Food should be wrapped tightly before freezing and hot food should be allowed to cool completely before being placed in the freezer to prevent any negative effects on surrounding foods. It is also important to divide frozen food into small portions for easy defrosting and to avoid cross-contamination between raw and cooked foods.
