The first weight loss cure is just the beginning of many to come. Launched over 18 months ago and brought back into focus last January due to discontent among farmers, the major project of administrative simplification is taking its first steps with the presentation of a bill in the Council of Ministers. This text, consisting of around twenty articles, is focused on the economy and aims to simplify the lives of millions of small and medium-sized businesses.

The bill includes several significant measures aimed at streamlining administrative procedures for businesses and making it easier for them to access public markets. One of the most significant changes is the simplification of the pay slip, which will be reduced from 55 lines to about fifteen by 2027. The goal is to make this mandatory document more readable for employees who often find it incomprehensible. The revised pay slip will include essential information such as total remuneration paid by the employer and received by the employee, along with other key details of remuneration.

While some are concerned about the complexity of the overall simplification process, others worry that it could favor businesses over employees, leading to more deregulation than simplification. However, the Ministry of Economy emphasizes that their goal is to build trust between administration and businesses by shifting from sanctions to advice.

In addition to changes in the pay slip, other aspects such as social thresholds and labor dispute deadlines are postponed for further review. However, these changes aim to support businesses in a changing economic landscape while reducing administrative burdens on them.

Overall, this bill seeks to streamline processes and support businesses’ success in a rapidly evolving economy.
