Recently, the College of Sequoias men’s basketball team made its first trip to the state finals since 2000. The loss ended an 11-game winning streak for COS, finishing their season with an overall record of 27-6.

On the softball diamond, COS has been performing well with a five-game winning streak and an overall record of 19-7. Leading hitter Emily Ibarra has a .400 average, while pitcher Bailey Bustos boasts a 10-2 record and leads the team in RBIs with 17. The baseball team recently defeated Taft with a 17-5 victory behind standout performances by catcher Alex Lopez and pitcher Nicholas Morrelli.

As spring progresses, COS tennis teams have completed their conference dual matches and are preparing for a non-conference match at Modesto on Thursday. The women’s team finished second in their conference with a record of 9-3, while the men have been performing well with an overall record of 7-4 for the season. Looking ahead, COS track teams will be competing in the West Coast Relays at Buchanan High School in Fresno after achieving several individual victories at Bakersfield College Relays earlier this year.
