The Southern Mississippi Planning and Developing District (SMPDD) is collaborating with the Forrest County Board of Supervisors to host a Health & Resource Fair for the senior community in Brooklyn, Miss. The fair aims to assist seniors in prioritizing their health and well-being.

Taking place at the Brooklyn Community Center on Thursday, April 18th from 10 a.m. to noon, the fair will offer free health screenings, community resources, and aging services provided by SMPDD. This initiative is part of the county’s efforts to show care and support for the health of its residents.

Forrest County Board President Terri Bell emphasized the importance of taking care of one’s health, especially for those aged 60 and above in the Southern part of the county. She stated that this event is an opportunity for seniors to access important resources and services to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle.

In addition to health screenings, the fair will also provide refreshments and door prizes for attendees. This event is a great chance for seniors to learn more about their health options and connect with local resources that can help them live their best lives.
