On Sunday night, news broke that Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice had retained legal representation following a multi-car collision in Dallas involving a car registered to him. It has now been revealed that the counsel representing Rice is Royce West, a member of the Texas Senate and a managing partner at West & Associates L.L.P.

Preliminary investigations by the police indicated that a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini were engaged in street racing, leading to them both losing control of their vehicles. Dashcam footage supports this narrative, confirming that a total of six vehicles were involved in the crash. The occupants of the vehicle registered to Rice reportedly fled the scene. Two drivers from other cars involved in the accident were treated for minor injuries on site, while two others were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

Attorney Marc Lenahan stated that he represents one victim who remained hospitalized as of Sunday night. West released a statement on Monday on behalf of Rice, expressing concern for everyone affected by the accident and asserting that Rice is cooperating with authorities to address the situation responsibly. It is currently unknown if Rice has turned himself in.
